Whitehead Primary School is a controlled co-educational school situated on the Islandmagee Road almost within a stone’s throw of the sea. It has a nursery unit attached to it and enrols children from 2-4 years of age in the nursery and from 4-11 years of age in the primary.

The school has fourteen classrooms, a dining room/assembly hall, a very well equipped gymnasium, a staffroom, a medical inspection room, a meals kitchen and numerous ancillary rooms.
